I want to know your experiences with online classes. Which class format you prefer, fully online, half and half, or class on campus?

This blog is a course practice exercise for an educational media class at the University of South Alabama.

  1. Well, I have never taking any online courses until this year. Therefore, I was kind of reluctant to take online classes. However, I can see how they benefit students who have busy schedules which class schedules conflict with their job or other obligation. I do miss a personal eye contact relationship with teachers and other class members. In all, I am getting used to online courses, and I would recommend online classes to a student who maintains a busy lifestyle.

  2. I really do not prefer one way over the other because they all have there benefits. I enjoy the online class because you do not have to make time out of your week to show up on campus, but at the same time you have to use good time management skills. On the other hand on campus classes can keep you more on track if your not too good at time management or staying organized. So overall either one is fine with me.

  3. Marcus,

Yes, I agree that online class are helpful, but you have to be well organize and stay on top of your homework assignments. I also agree with you that I miss the personal interaction with students and the teacher.

  4. Ryne,

I agree, that all of the them have their benefits but each style requires that you be good in time management, scheduling out your day, and communicating with students and the teacher. I also have the smae view that it does matter to me which format the class is, but I do favor more towards half and half class. Because you still making avaliable to as possible, but you are also having personal interaction with your classmates and teacher.
